Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Medien, Kunst, Musik, Note: 1,7, Ruhr-Universitat Bochum, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Wirkung von Gewalt in den Medien bzw. fiktionale Gewalt als Stimulus oder sogar Ursache von realer Gewalt wird seit langem diskutiert. Etwa 5000 Untersuchungen jeder Art gibt es zu dieser Thematik und die viel zitierte Berechnung, dass ein durchschnittlicher US-amerikanischer Jugendlicher bei Beendigung der High-School etwa 18000 TV-Morde konsumiert hat, sowie die reflexartige Forderung der Politik nach Verboten fur sogenannte Ego-Shooter nach einer Amok- oder anderen aufsehenerregenden Gewalttat sorgt fur Brisanz in der oeffentlichen Diskussion. Auf Grund der standigen Prasenz von violenten Darstellungen in Film, Fernsehen und Computerspielen wird regelmassig nach den Auswirkungen beim Zuschauer gefragt . Dies ist verstandlich, verbringt doch der durchschnittliche Bundesburger neben Schlafen und Arbeiten die meiste Zeit mit Medienkonsum. Das sind circa 6,5 Stunden taglich. Um den Umfang der vorliegenden Arbeit im Rahmen zu halten, soll die allgemeine Rolle der Medien in diesem Zusammenhang aber nicht thematisiert werden. In dieser Seminararbeit wird anhand des Projektberichts Medien und Gewalt der Autoren Kunczik und Zipfel von 2004 untersucht, in wieweit Wirkungen von Gewaltdarstellungen in Film und Fernsehen im Vergleich zu den Wirkungen von violenten Computerspielen Unterschiede aufweisen. Dazu werden ausgewahlte Einflussfaktoren beleuchtet, diese auf das jeweilige Medium bezogen und miteinander verglichen.
