I now own 4 of these devices, all of which are networked into a Vortexbox Hi-Fi music server. The Logitech Squeezebox radio/streamer produces good quality music, all simply controlled from its display function and local device interface or remotely using an app on your phone. The Squeezebox software has been developed over a period of years and it gives great freedom to the user. The software can be dowloaded as an app onto the major types of NAS drive and hooking the Logitech Radio to the NAS is very simple to do (and you don't need to be a computer genius to do it !) Overall the Logitech Squeezebox radio is a great product. Get one whilst you can find them !

This is a really great product which offers useful features absent from Sonos, such as presets, a display screen, remote control and wireless portability. It's just a shame that Logitech ceased manufacturing them quite some time ago. Although to their credit, Logitech are still developing and supporting LMS (the server side of the multi-room system). Sounds good too and very well built

I am late convert to Squeezebox, coming across PiCore Player as an Open Source Raspberry Pi project originally. I love the streaming capabilities of the free open source Squeezebox Software. I now also have 2 of these old Logitech Squeezebox Radios. The build quality and sound of these little Logitech units are great. One radio I use as a bedside Clock Radio/Streamer with an adaptive display brightness that is not too bright at night, that wakes me with a gradually increasing radio alarm. The other is in the Kitchen and keeps me entertained when cooking. Both are great to listen to Podcasts, or some Internet Stations like Radio Paradise, SomaFM or FIP. I cannot believe Logitech dropped Squeezebox and these little Radios but qudos for making the software Open Source, as there is great support in the community. To get the full capabilities of streaming your music from your NAS or using the BBC Sounds App for example requires a little techy messing about but it is well documented on the net and well worth the effort. Or just use the basic options for Internet Radio.Read full review

The Squeezebox is ideal for listening to foreign radio stations. Quality is excellent and very easy to set up. An Android App can be downloaded to your smartphone and works brilliantly to control the squeezebox from anywhere in the house. The only snag was the firewall on the router which for no apparent reason one day blocked access to the squeezebox server, causing a TCP PORT 9000 error (meant nothing to me!). Support from Logitech was useless but after a search on the internet I resolved the problem and no other problems have occurred since. Brilliant.
