    A great camera

    I been slow to review this camera only because of the complex nature of all its many features.In automatic mode it can be used straight away and obtain great results.To be competent in its many features requires time.This is a brilliant camera and I am a very pleased novice with it.

    Compact digital winner

    The Canon A420 Powershot is a versatile and flexible camera, with plenty of useful functions and features. It is a solid and dependable item, which has been to sea with me sailing, dirt biking round Cambodia and backpacking around Thailand, never missing a beat. It is also used quite extensively for my business. It also has the additional benefit of being simple enough for me to use(!) Although it has now been superceded, there is still stock about at bargain prices(mid 2008). Recommended.

    Canon A420

    Quick to power on, clear screen & also a viewfinder for when it is sunny. Easy & intuitive to use, great pictures and decent zoom lens. Only criticism is position of zoom control.
