I haven't been using these Minky ones for long, but so far they compare favourably with others I have used. I like the grey colour of the plastic and the clothes line itself is slightly thicker than ones I have used in the past. The downside is that you have to wrap the clothes line round the fastening hook a couple of times, or it slips. This is normal with most types that I have used in the past though, but it would be better if it held securely when just wrapped round once. Other than that, it does feel reliable & I am hoping it will last a bit longer than most of them that I have had to replace in the past.

This is the second one of these washing lines purchased as I do not want to drill any more holes in my wall BUT the first one came apart and that is using only 50% of the line. The design is not good as there is a join in the plastic holder just where the maximum amount of strain is going to be. If the seam can be placed in a different location the design would be excellent as it is neat and easily disassembled.

This is the third one of these that I have bought and used. Because we live on the coast we tend to get about 3-4 years usage before the North East weather takes its toll on this retractable little gem but for the price it is well worth it. I found it easy to fit (15 minutes to put the fittings up with an electric hammer drill into brick and I screwed the line hook into wood on the garage). It takes no space up at all. No more risk of people walking into a permanent line. It is neat and tidy. I wouldn't have bought more if it was not fit for purpose. Am I happy with my product? Yes I am.

Easy to install - I drilled holes in the grout between brickwork outside and then attached other end to fence. Took 5 mins. Make sure you get a washing line support pole though, otherwise it will sag. Also ensure you wrap it round the knob twice if pulling it taut otherwise it might come out and leave your washing on the grass like it did with me first time :)

We've just given our garden a makeover and didn't really want to spoil the look of it with a whirling dervish washing line, so decided to get one of these retractable lines. And we're so glad we did! When not in use the line is kept clean inside the little drum and I drilled its fixings into the garage wall sightly out of line so that it naturally folds itself back against the wall when not in use. This is so much better than a whirlygig line. The wind can get to all the clothes equally and it's a cinch to pull the line out and have it automatically reeled in. I've got two hooks in the garden .. one for when we only need an 8m line and another when we need the full 15m. It's well made, strong, simple, efficient.
