Surface rust easy to grind off to a smooth surface for tig practice. I measured slightly more than 5Kg about 12lbs on my body weight scales. Seems like a good deal for welding practice compared to the other supplies of steel available. This purchase on a tight budget would be more than justified by the time, effort and inconvenience of having to grind up this amount of steel from a larger item.
