    A gadget really - doesn't really do anything a Sony point and shoot cant do - but I don't regret getting it

    Nice , well built camera - phone is the viewer - smallish sensor that takes good photos and links well with a phone ( uses wifi with an iPhone which is a bit of a faff to set up, supposed to be easier with an android - so this is not for the quick snaps - but then the your phone itself does that for close ups . I got it for travel really. As an example, recently while abroad I was having cup of coffee on the second floor of an open air restaurant and about 30 feet away in the top of a tree ( whose top branches were on a level with me) a wild 3 toed sloth started feeding in the branches with its young - all the pictures i took of them on the phone were blurry and too indistinct but i'd left my bigger camera back at the hotel - That particular situation isnt going to happen again of course ...

    I can see this would be useful for some people but I found it slow to use and the image quality lacking. For a less serious piece of kit for selfies etc., it might be fine.

    Useful lens to carry around

    This lens is useful to fill the gap between phone camera and compact camera. It's a little slow to connect with the phone, so not so good for spontaneous shooting and the connection occasionally stops but on the whole this is a useful lens to carry around rather than a bulkier camera. Image quality is acceptable for the price but the more expensive QX100 will be noticeably better.

    Turns your smartphone into a quality point and shoot

    Great zoom quality for your smartphone. It takes a few seconds to set up the connection when you switch it on, but the quality of the images are fantastic. Used my brothers first in Costa Rica to photograph wildlife and had to get one for myself.
