    I wish the description had been clear that no pieces would be included with the chessboard, but I'll admit that was due to expectation and assumption on my part. Still, the board works, and it was delivered quickly. I was able to order a cheap set of chess pieces to use with the board, so all's well that ends well. I think, with both purchases, it's still cheaper than if I'd bought the product new. And it was packaged well in bubble wrap to protect it during shipping.
