Two fun, fast-paced showbiz comedies are collected here. The romantic British musical HAPPY GO LOVELY (1951) follows a scrappy dance company as it tries to put on a show in Scotland. A hilariously stuffy David Niven plays a rich businessman who's mistaken for a reporter; hi-jinks ensure as he falls for lovely tap dancer Janet (Vera-Ellen). Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers play struggling married couple Jean and Matt in the terrific little comedy THE SMALLEST SHOW ON EARTH (1957). When Matt's uncle dies, the pair unexpectedly inherits a movie theater in a tiny Scottish town. They attempt to sell it, but their plans are thrown off by the theater's quirky, eccentric, and extremely amusing employees (including the great Peter Sellers).
