A Magical Mystical Adventure
I replaced my DVD with this BD. It is worth the upgrade. The DVD had a 4:3 letterboxed/4:3 pan & scan 2-sided disc. This Blu-ray has the movie in 16:9 widescreen. I am a nitpicker and I will report that the opening credits have a minor flaw where the picture does not fully reach the edges of the screen. Still it is impressive with Andrew Powell's music score. The picture is much better on the BD with bright colors and even better audio. I compared both on my Sony HT system and I can testify that it sounds much better on the DTS-HD Master Audio. This is a beautiful film that everyone should own on high definition video. Richard Donner did a remarkable job in capturing those tender moments with very simplistic special effects. I appreciate the inclusion of the trailer; I have to have them on my movies. Sadly those nice text documentaries on the DVD were not included here. Warner Brothers keeps their Blu-rays simple with non-motion silent menus resembling DVD menus. Add it to your collection! You will not regret it.

Get Ready For A Wild Ride of Fantasy Adventure!
I have loved this movie since I first saw it in a theater back in 1985. All previous releases of it on home video, be it VHS or DVD, all seemed to come from the same dirty film transfer. This new blu-ray has fixed all of that that, and given me a version of the film that I will cherish. I just wish that Warner Brothers would have done a little more in the form of bonus features.

Blu-ray Ladyhawke is GREAT
I have an old VHS taped version of Ladyhawke, which is darker in places and hard to see. When I got it out to show some of my grandchildren and remembered how crumby it was, I checked to see if there was a DVD version available. Better than I expected! There was a new Blu-ray version which I ordered and we can see it clearly, hear the exciting music, and expect it to last forever! Thanks!

Ladyhawke is a beautiful movie.
I saw this movie when it came out in the 80's. I loved it then and I love it now. Is it just a bit dated. Yes, but a good story and great acting hold up over time.

Feel Good Movie
Nice to see this movie released on Blue-ray. One of my old favorites and it was fun to watch it again! The main characters played by young Matthew Broderick, Michelle Pfeiffer and Rutger Hauer. Lots of good actors in smaller roles too. I recommend it!
