We are a small firm and try to do the best we can. I have a lot more experience on eBay than my feedback score suggests and I have encountered many problems and misunderstandings which, hopefully, these T & C s address. In making a purchase, you have acknowledged that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and will abide by them.
Combined Postage
I will combine postage for multiple purchases. The postage will be the same for multiple purchases as it is for one . I do this for transparency as items selling with free p&p have the postage costs built into the price, so buying multiple things, is paying multiple postage. The postage price being the highest listed e.g if you buy six things at postal rate of £2.99 the P&P will be £2.99. If you buy six things at postal rate of £2.99 and a larger item with postal rate of £4.99, the overall P&P will be £4.99. Ebay will not automatically apply this and I have to it manually at the checkout. If you buy more than one items, click on the Request total from seller and send me a note to combine postage. Please wait for me to invoice you for multiple purchases (I ll be as fast as possible - see correspondence & working hours ) as I cannot refund overpaid postage.
Postage
I try to keep postage costs to a minimum. I use a courier or Royal Mail (for small items) if I think it will be cheaper. If you have a specific request (for example if you have preferred courier or carrier) please ask before making a purchase. If you do not show a contact number on your check out, please provide one for the courier.
Scottish Highlands & Islands, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Scilly Isles and Northern Ireland etc
If you know you have to pay higher rates for couriers to deliver to your address, please ask for a quote before buying. I use a range of couriers and they all have different rates for off shore and difficult to reach places and I do not hold that information in my head.
Correspondence
Please contact me through eBay messaging only. This way, I know everything is in one place and I m less likely to miss something. I will get back to you as soon as I can (see working day ) but at times I am working on different things with no internet access and replies take a little longer. Do not assume that if I have made a swift reply previously, that this will happen again.
Offers and Price Matching
I m always open to offers if they are sensible! If you are making multiple purchases, think the P&P is too hefty or have seen the same/similar item somewhere else - get in touch, there may be wiggle room!
Feedback
Once you have received your goods and you are happy with your purchase, please leave feedback as soon as possible - this lets me know everything has gone smoothly and don t have to worry and I will leave feedback at the earliest opportunity. If you intend to leave anything other than positive feedback, please contact me first and I will try my best to sort things out.
Working Day
The working day is Monday to Friday 10am till 4pm. I may answer queries outside these hours but it will be at my discretion. Do not assume that if I have made a reply outside these hours, previously, I will do again.
Dispatch Rate
I have set my dispatch rate to three working days - I may dispatch sooner than this, at my discretion. I can offer fast turn around please contact me before making a purchase if you require urgent delivery and I will try my best.
Delivery
Please make sure you are available for delivery within the set time frame specified i.e. the six working days following your purchase. I m not saying be there 24/7, but please do not make a purchase knowing you are going on a month s holiday and there will be no one able to receive it. I can delay postage if needed. All extra costs, of re delivery, will be charged to the customer.
Damages
If you receive the package and it looks as though it has been opened or clearly damaged, please do not accept delivery, take a photo but do not sign. If unable to do this, then please take a photo of the unopened, damaged package and contact me as soon as possible.
Descriptions
I will describe as I see, often using the manufacturer s description and sizes. If, I have failed to mention a measurement or detail that is important to you, please ask before making a purchase. On receiving the item, you feel it shows a feature or a discrepancy, I have failed to mention in the description, please contact me asap, especially before leaving feedback or opening a dispute case.
Condition Reports
I try to offer accurate photographs and descriptions. I may miss something in the description that is important to you. Please ask before making a purchase for further condition reports and photographs - I will try and respond within 24 hours
Stock
I hold all items, in the eBay shop, in stock. They come from me, not some third party. Please be kind if I have miscounted the stock levels.
Packing
I am very experienced in packing and sending delicate objects. I will pack to the best of my abilities but if there is something specific that you require (or dislike) please ask before making a purchase.
International Shipping
I will ship internationally - please ask for a quote before purchasing. All customs costs etc to be met by the buyer - if there any special labels needed or required, please inform me. Please don t pay the UK rate and think I ll post abroad, I won t.
Insurance
Please specify what level of insurance you require and I will quote accordingly. If insurance is not specifically asked for, I will use my discretion.
Disputes
Please contact me before opening a dispute case with eBay. Once started, an eBay dispute case is very difficult to stop, especially if it is a minor problem that can easily sorted out between ourselves. If I have a problem, such as not receiving communication or payment, I will contact you, by eBay messaging, three times in 5 working days, before opening a case. Please, communicate if there is a problem.
Faulty Goods - Electrical Goods
If an item comes with it s own packaging, I may not have inspected it to see if functions as described - this is especially so with electrical or battery operated goods. If I have another one in stock I will replace at my discretion. If an item is faulty, please do not leave feedback on this basis - leave feedback on the basis of how I have dealt with the problem.
Returns
Do not return an item before contacting me. I abide by UK distance selling rules, but would really appreciate that, if you are returning an item, please get in touch as soon as possible (preferably within 5 working days). This stops me from restocking if I know an item is being returned. Items must be returned in resalable condition with all original packaging intact. I will deduct from refunded money to the total, I believe the items value has been reduced by, up to total sale price. Buyer to meet all costs of returning an item.
Clothing
Please do not buy varying sizes of the same garment with the intention of returning the one that doesn t fit. Please don t wear an item once and return it - I can tell! I m not some big multi national who can build this into my costs. If you spot an item you like and there s only one left - buy it and wait to make payment. Then ask me as to my opinion on sizing and I ll do my best. If then you don t think the item is going to fit correctly, I will refund.
Lost items
Items that are deemed lost in transit will go through the appropriate carrier s (or Royal Mail s) process. These are out of my control and take varying amounts of time, some taking weeks. I will help in any way I can, but if an item has been signed for, then it is an issue between the customer and the carrier.
Mistakes
Mistakes happen - by both retailer and customer. I hope and I hope you do to, that we can distinguish between a cock up and a conspiracy!
Interpretation of these T&C s
Pleased don t try and twist any of these T&C s and interpret them in a way to gain an advantage. These are my T&C s, only open to my interpretation.
