    Great value!

    This works very well as long as you calibrate it correctly. I had trouble with that - the directions weren’t good - but when I used olive oil to calibrate is worked like s charm! And much less expensive than others but the same good quality.

    Refract for Honey

    It does what it says but only after calibrating it. I didn't know where zero on the scale is. I bought it to find water content in honey. I had to go to utube to learn that olive oil has a water content of 71-72. which after being set worked properly. This information is not to be found in the ad or in packing materials.

    Came in earlier that expected.

    I found I made a mistake in ordering. I emailed the company and in a matter of a few emails we resolved my problem. We are quite please with the product, I feel it of greater value that ones selling for twice as much. I will recommend this company and will do business with them again,

    Incorrect instructions

    Instructions to calibrate the device are incorrect. "Owing to the remarkably consistent properties of Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, one drop of it on the slide will always read between 71 and 72 on the Brix scale. If you set the lock-nut to show any such oil at 71.5, you will have correctly calibrated the water content scale at the same time."

    Good value. Needed calibration.

    The refractometer arrived quickly. It seems to be a good value. The calibration was off by about 2%, so it needed a minor adjustment. It seems to work well.
