    2001: A Space Odyssey (CD 1999)

    A brilliant soundtrack CD from the Film 2001 A Space Odyssey. The last track includes a collection of clips of the HAL 9000 computer, actual audio clips from the film itsef. Wonderful music from an ahead of its time Sci-Fi film.

    A soundtrack CD for any fan of '2001: A Space Odyssey'.

    My years of enthusiasm for regularly watching Stanley Kubrick's classic Science Fiction epic '2001' have had the added pleasure of absorbing the intelligently assembled music soundtrack. Only trouble is, I've got the various music pieces collected on disc and spread over five or six different CD's, which makes listening to the tracks at home or in the car a bit of technical tedium. I've always wanted the full and proper versions one one handy and dedicated CD. Here it is then, with, as the disc closes, the extra fun of a few pithy comments from the ever spooky HAL 9000. The full soundtrack then, all the versions, all the cues and some dialog for good measure. One indispensible CD for those of you like me who'll always find something new to contemplate on in the best SF film ever made.
