After the android 5 upgrade I needed to go back to Android 4.x. I messed up resetting mine so this was a real bargain. Nexus 7 was always very good at Android 4.x. Still is. 2015, still fast, slick, long lasting battery, really pleased with it. 2018, still using occasionally, showing its age a bit.

Battery drain using lollipop might be an issue. Other then that is a great buy.

I bought this nexus 7 to replace my original one on which I broke the screen. It was offered at an excellent price and was as new, so it was better than getting the old one fixed. It is a great tab, though of course superceded by the newer model. The single trouble I have had was because I updated the OS to Kit Kat, from the pre-loaded Lollipop. Checking on the net reveals that many people have had the same experience...lagging, freezing, crashing. It seems that the old models can't handle the new software too well. I did a factory reset which sorted out most of the trouble and for how I use it, it is now great. If I had not updated the software it would be perfect! It is well made and easy to use with a good screen. I use it for reading through the Kindle app and it works well like that too.Read full review
