Well built and of premium build but you must use Kontrol v2.9.
For a Midi controller of this age its still relevant and usable today. Its very well built, and will last a long time. The keys are fast action not semi weighted. This is dedicated to Native Instruments Komplete instruments and Kontrol software but be aware you cannot use the latest Kontrol plugin v3 onwards as they stopped support for the MK1 keyboards from v3 onwards. That being said v2.9 works fine in Windows 10/11. Unlike other Midi keyboards I have used, this feels rather premium in its build and weight. The controls are solid, touch strips are responsive and small lcd information under each knob is very clear and easy to read. If you can pick one up with at least with a ultimate software packing you can upgrade but you must have all licenses transferred to your own ...
