Good aftermarket replacement
Ever since I had the car it had an unusual turbo whistle. Whilst doing an oil change I spotted one of the intercooler hoses had been jammed in (hard) at a strange angle so it wasn't sealing. On closer inspection the retaining lugs had been broken off and some gorilla had jammed it in place. Knowing that OEM hoses are expensive I started searching ebay and was astonished by the low price. The hose has been fitted for 2 weeks and I've driven around 600 miles with it. The whistle is gone, the car responds even better to the throttle and because all the air from the turbo now goes into the engine, fuel economy is up too. I'll have saved the price of this hose in fuel savings quite soon! After 2 weeks I can't comment on whether it is built to last, but the lugs engage the clips on adjacent ... Quality of hose and fittings is fine but part didn't fit due to incorrect orientation of metal fittings - incorrectly clocked at 90 degrees from proper orientation which mean the pipe would have to be twisted to fit into mating parts.

Did what it needed to do at the fraction of the price. Great quality! In regards to an other review of the ‘Wrong orientation’ of locating lugs. What that fella has done is buy for a 2.0TFsi/1.9Tdi. INSTEAD of a 2.0 TDI. Lugs are 90 degrees out on he 2.0 Tdi pipes although they are identical in shape. I learnt this the hard way.
