Accurate and turns the cooling fan on at the right time now to match ecu reference table
Took the trouble to measure the temperature reading via the gauge and the data table in the ecu. Before fitting the new sender the old sender did not turn the fan on at the right temperature as it under read by 7 degrees. I know this because I also changed the gauge water temp sender to a new one validated with a thermocouple and manufacturers data. The new sender accurately matched the water temp gauge and ecu reference table switching the fan on at the right time rather than 7 degrees too late. It seems these sensors still appear to work to lose accuracy after about 10 years of use. Took the trouble to measure the temperature reading via the gauge and the data table in the ecu.
