I have been looking for ways to save time setting up and breaking down my kit for gigs. So I have been buying more connections for my drum rack, so I use less cymbal stands. That's when I came across these! I usually spend the most time breaking down my cymbals off the stands, so I thought this could help cut down the breakdown time. These things RULE!! I can pop a cymbal off a stand in one second, whereas before i would stand there for a few minutes spinning that stupid lock off. These are a breeze. They clamp well, stay where i want them, and also seem to work with all the different cymbal styles and mount styles too. I love that I can flip these over and use which ever side will work better for each application. Needless to say I will buy more of these and use them on every single cymbal from now on. Tama really nailed it with this item. A++++Read full review

I’ve tried a few different types of these quick release toppers and I have to say the Tama completely missed the mark with theirs. They’re made of plastic and don’t stay on. Usually I found that after hitting the cymbal once or twice they’ll fly off. Normally I really like Tama products, but I wouldn’t recommend their quick release cymbal toppers at all. Tama needs to go back to the drawing board and revamp these or quit selling them all together.

I don't play TAMA, but these will work with other stands. I change cymbals, a lot. I have some Zildjian low volume, so I'm constantly swapping the low volume and the regular cymbals back & forth. This makes for a very quick change. They are sturdy and stable. They're not going to fall off in the middle of playing. And they are asthetically pleasing as well, giving a uniform appearance to the tops of stands, especially when using a mix and match set from different manufacturers. Get some, you'll be happy you did.

Was excited about this product. Maybe if you play softly in an easy listening setting, these may be fine. Definetly not for rock nor metal drumming. After one stroke on crash, the threads dont hold and cymbal gets wonky. Plastic material is the culprit. Pay the extra amount for heavy duty model.

No surprise it's good because its a Tama product! But the cost for a injection molded product ($12cnd each retail) is a bit much. But the real "problem" was shipping cost and added tariffs which double the cost!
