In it's advert image it looked robust but when I took it from it's plastic bag (not even the decency to post it in a protective box), it was so frail I thought it was going to crumble like powder in my hand, if I had worn it in bed it would have disintegrated from my neck it was so flimsy.

These chains are fine 0.8mm necklaces and they are described as "fine 0.8mm". They are not like "powder" and will not "crumble in your hands" - they are fine but they are reliable!
