I recently had reason to believe that it was displaying an inaccurate reading (which it wasn't) and had ordered another. Now I have 2 which is no bad thing.     This was purchased to replace an older Ring Compressor that was more than 10 years old, This latest model is definitely an improvement on the older model, being able to wind in the electrical cable is great and setting the pressure is easy, the valve connector at the end of the pressure hose has been extended to make it very easy to connect to the tyre valve, on the whole it's very user friendly, I'm very satisfied with this product.

    Let down by the 12v plug

    Great little compressor, easy to use, cable rewind & storage for hose well thought out. Let down by a poor 12v plug. It’s not the conventional type with two earth tabs, only has one, and seems quite short, hit & miss connection & had to wiggle it a couple of times after it cut out. So frustrating that they got everything right... apart from that! May look at swapping plug for a more conventional type. Even with this issue it’s still a good piece of kit. The pro’s outweigh the con’s!

    Does the Job but Could be Improved

    What I liked: large digital display, easy to set target pressure, auto stop when reaches target pressure set, super quick inflation, not disturbingly noisy, large power button, carrier case. What I didn't like: screw on connector fiddly and time consuming, loses air on connection to and disconnection from tyre (advise inflating to .5 or 1 bar higher than required), awkard shape to hold (keep hitting power button accidentally) - needs handle; carrier case ditto - needs handle, lever flap to rewind car plug cable slow and laborious to wind - lugs to manually wind cable around would be quicker. Overall does the job though it took me some time on first usage to gauge how best to set the pressure to achieve desired level.

    Inflation

    Really good inflator. Quiet and fast in operation. Display is within 0.5psi accuracy of my two other accurate gauges. Pricey but best one I've had and used. Only thing is it is fast and high powered so does require high current to run the compressor motor. It needs a 15amp fused supply minimum anything less and it'll blow the fuse after a short delay. I read somewhere it loses pressure when removing the connector. I tried four times and couldn't measure the pressure drop doing this.

    Quality Product and excellent service.

    I looked at several models and settled on the RTC1000 as it was the latest recommendation from Auto Express... which has to say something for the Ring product against the competition. 'GetCarParts' were new to me but the best price... Have to say excellent service and the pump?... well I used it straight away... long lead to get all around the car... the integral threaded adapter provides a really positive connection and it did what it claimed... from 12PSI to 32PSI in a little over 2 minutes and no 'leg' work involved... (an absolute treat!). Well designed, easy to use and re-pack into its' zip case... really neat and tidy, now lives in the boot. Quality Product.

    Good value

    Excellent emergency tyre pump, easy to use and stores away nicely in the included case. I read the reviews about the poor fitting power socket but this has been addressed on this model. The tyre valve connection is Good quality and a secure fit, one thing to note is when disconnecting from the valve 2psi is lost, I found this loss to be consistent on each use so upping the the pressure 2psi over recomend pressure solves this.
