    installs as easy as normal bulbs.

    plug and play on my 55 vw bus. finally a white light. not yellow 6volt sealed beam. nearly a bright as normal 12volt halogens. your grounds and headlight switch need to be good. and charging system . otherwise they can flicker at low engine speeds. I would of given a 5 star except there made in china.

    Good 6v Option, Questionable Support

    Great option for 6v cars BUT your charging system should have minimal voltage fluctuations to operate properly in my experience. Engine off = amazing results over even upgraded Halogen 6v bulbs. An OEM generator with new OEM correct gauge 6v wiring and a new Optima 6v battery is simply not enough current when the car is running. Perhaps my set is defective? Reached out to Octane via their website almost a month ago and still no response.

    These are a big improvement over the stock headlights. I did have to replace the headlight switch to make them work in my old 6v VW beetle.

    Won’t work properly with 6 Volt VW

    The LEDs are rated for MINIMUM 6v. A tiny voltage fluctuation on a 6v car causes these to dim about 80% and flicker. When the car is OFF, they are decent brightness. When the car is RUNNING, the lights are useless, flickering and very dim. Not recommended for a 6v VW. Any other car is likely fine.

    Great for 6v VW bug

    These things are great. I mounted them in a 1965 VW beetle with the stock 6v electrical system. They fit perfectly in the buckets. They light up the road way better than stock. They do dim when the engine slows down but I don't see the little red generator light anymore.
