    Give your Toyota some love...

    My friend's engine light had been "on" for a long time. :o ( I replaced the gasket' The light stayed "on". So, I disconnected the 12v "Negative" battery cable. For 30 minutes. The engine light is now "off" Me happy... Put 51'lbs psi, in the car tires. And metal air stem caps. Yahoo mpg...

    Fixed check engine, VCS and TRAC lights on 05 Rav4

    Excellent product. If your gas cap is in good condition and you have an evap leak then just replacing the seal is good enough. No need to replace the whole gas cap. My 2005 Toyota Rav4 kept throwing off the check engine and VCS and TRAC lights with codes p0328 and p0440. I noticed when filling up with gas and tightening the cap the lights would come on and off at times. I then inspected the cap and noticed how thin and brittle the seal looked. I found this product and replaced the seal. So far so good and my car is running fine with no lights. Highly recommend !

    Worked great!

    Worked great. "Check engine light" went off after a couple of hours. Old gasket was indeed cracked and new one was easy to install. Did not have to replace original gas cap. Did wonder why the gasket itself was so expensive.

    This gas cap gasket fixed my check engine light problem!

    I had a check engine light that kept coming on for several thousand miles. I reluctantly ordered this gas cap gasket to see if it would help. When I replaced it I noticed the old gasket had developed cracks in it. The check engine light remained off ever since I changed the gas cap gasket. I love it!

    Great replacement part

    I didn’t know that a gas cap is a “consumable” item that needs to be replaced over time. Mine was 15 years old and I started getting a TracVCS and Check Engine light on my 2004 Toyota RAV4. It started happening 2 years ago which the codes would shut the engine down. What happens the car has a pressurized gas tank and if the gas cap seal is worn, the computer thinks the gas tank is punctured. So as a safety precaution, the fuel pump is disabled by the car’s computer and a code is given on the dash board that includes TracVCS check engine light. This $2 item saves thousands of false bills at the auto repair shop.
