    Yes and no

    I use this and another model to troll with. Fresh water fish. They do support the pole good, and even held when I caught a big muskie. Althou they are a sloppy fit. And easily pop out when removing the pole from them. (From their mount). And they do not float either. I had other brands on my older boat and they stayed tight in the mounts. Will not buy these again.
