    A standard for older Art Conservation literature

    Ruhemann writes an entertaining overview of his unlikely rise to the heights of German museum fine art conservation. Luckily he was up for the task and became a leading visionary in the field. Conservation techniques are dated but many are can still valid for the private practitioner . Given the difficulties for non institutional art technicians to obtain information, it is still a valuable tome in the field.
