There were dirt smudges, dust, crumbs and some gum on the bottom; I ended up cleaning up as well as I could but would have expected this to have been done before hand. Some rattling on the inside, could be some debris but whilst I eventually got it to work will be keeping a close eye on it. I recommend anyone who’s looking at a mesh system to have a look at tp link. Netgears orbi mesh is overrated

The issue I had is with the manufacturer, Netgear, whose online and app-specific instructions regarding incorporation of this item into my home network were inaccurate and nearly caused me to send it back. At no point did they mention that I should connect the Orbi satellite to the Orbi router using an ethernet cable, which turned out to be the key step!
