I have only been using them for a couple of days, I assume they will lose some of that over time. The only issue I have is that the purple cloth wrap rides in the nut if I string my bass through the body, so I had to string through the bridge. This is not a problem with the strings or the seller just a heads up that these seem to be designed for a top loader bridge. Other than that I really like them.
