Great value for money, using the inverted method as recommended and my coffee is amazing.

Good coffee and quick to use!

The stainless steel mesh filter does save a lot of time messing around with the paper filters in the aeropress coffee maker. It can be left assembled and washed out. Only downside is the water dribbles through the mesh straight away where the paper filters hold the water until you press it through. It still makes a good coffee!

    Okay but not great

Good and easy to re use. But it allows the water to go straight into the cup so you end up over filling the cup and not being able to brew the coffee for long enough. So I have had to go back to using the paper ones as they hold the water longer and don’t allow it to pour through

  • Not as good as paper filters

Bought hoping to do away with the paper filters for my Aeropress. So far in use this stainless steel mesh reusable filter has not proved to be as good as the standard paper filters. Will try a few different grinds if coffee but current beans/grind mean I’m always left with the ‘silt’ at bottom of cup after drinking. I will use it for camping trips though as obviously then it’s more suitable than paper filters.

  • Too porous, not fit for purpose.

Have been using paper filters for years, but I've always fancied trying a metal one. It arrived very quickly and I was excited to test it out. Unfortunately this filter allows the water/coffee through far too easily without even needing to 'press' it with the plunger. I've tried it the traditional way and the inverted method, but the filter is just too porous. It does filter out the coffee grinds, I haven't had any grinds in my cup, but the whole point of the aeropress is that the coffee is forced through the filter under pressure, this can't be achieved with this filter.

  • Works well

Easy enough to use, a little messy having to rince coffee grains off after use as does tend to stick to it. No expert on taste but as good as old disposable filters. Seems strong enough to last so should be value for money.
