    Luscious, feast-your-eyes old linens

    While no one book could cover this subject without weighing a ton, this one serves to introduce one to the world of fine old linens and whet one's appetite for more information. It also accomplishes an important goal, in my opinion, in revealing how intensive the labor is to produce one monogram. Hours - or days or months - of painstaking attention to detail are needed for these small works of art. Appreciating that investment of effort by those who held these beauties before we did is part of the enjoyment of them. And this book. Enjoy!

    One of the very best references on the history, uses, & care of magnificent European textiles. I use it constantly in my linen business in Vicksburg, Ms., & have acquired a couple to sell in the shop, or to give as a Thank you' to very good clients.
