Work saver for installing a Bigsby on a 3 saddle Tele.

I would have given this plate 5 stars, but for one issue: the pickup hole was too small for the Seymour Duncan rails pickup I installed. I had to use a Dremel and a round file to get it to fit. I don't know if I'd had the same problem with a stock Tele pickup, but I presume a premium brand pickup like Seymour Duncan would be sized correctly, so I expected the plate to have a proper sized hole. Otherwise it's a good product that serves a need not previously met in aftermarket parts.

  • Tele Bigsby Bridge

I put this on my partscaster Tele that has a bigsby tremolo. The cut outs at the rear of the bridge allow for the string to pass over the saddles to the bigsby without making contact with rear of the bridge plate. FYI, I did buy a neck pocket shim from stewmac so I could raise the saddles higher so the top of the saddles adjustment screws won't scratch my hand will playing (a common issue with vintage style tele bridges). The shim makes the angle the neck sits on the body greater. This also increases the angle the strings make behind the saddles as they cross under the bigsby (a good thing). The saddles also have notches that retain the string position when doing bends. I was able to get the intonation close, but not perfect. If you want to get a better solution get a Mastery ...

  • Perfectly Works with Bigsby

So I purchased a b50 Bigsby tremble bar for my Telecaster style Glarry guitar. This bridge which has the scallops or cutouts for where the strings go from the Bigsby up to the tuning pegs was exactly what I needed. You don't have to drill any extra holes because it fits perfectly. In my mind it's the only way to make this system work.

  • telecaster bridge

allows the use of bigsby type tremolo on telecaster without needing to shim neck,,works great and can keep your pickups from going thru the roof makes for better tone
