3 Doors Down - Away From The Sun (2005, DVD
The DVD audio is some of the best you'll find. The video edit on some of the songs is so jerky you get about 2-3 seconds of one shot before changing. Dizzying! But the guys make up for that with their songs. Some of the reviews about 3DD are just plain ignorant ramblings about how they are not hard enough or they haven't paid their dues. Bull! They are just a great band and a good bunch of guys. Just because they don't sing filth, holler profanity, or spit on their audience they are considered not real musicians. Grow up! It's good to see a big name group that you can even bring your kids to see. We need more like these guys. Three doors down from me
This is a really good DVD, the surround sound is a different approach to concert DVDs. My one disappointment is that it doesn't have "That Smell", a Lynyrd Skynyrd cover that they did on a live EP that I have that really sounds great. But it really sounds great otherwise. I recently took my family to Edgefest in Dallas and by the time 3doorsdown came on it was getting cold and we were tired and decided to go home, I told my wife that when she got home she could just pop in this DVD I bought her and see 3downdoors in comfort. (and sounding much better)This is a really good DVD, the surround sound is a different approach to concert DVDs. This is an awesome concert, great video and sound. You will not be disappointed.
If you are a 3 doors down fan and you don't have this DVD, buy it! If you are not a 3 doors down fan watch this DVD and you will become a fan. Great sound, great video, great performance. 5 Stars!! I always get requests to play this DVD at cookouts. I have purchased a total of four, one for me and three for gifts.

I bought this 3 Doors Down dvd because they are a great sounding band with many hits. But I was somewhat let down watching this dvd, the sound is good, but being a guitar player, I notice little things here and there not done live like you here on the original recording, which when you go see a local bar band they put those little minor details into the song. My main beef is that they look DORKY live. They don't look like rock-stars but rather like farm-boys ready to go do there daily chores. Also, NO stage presence, which makes for a very boring show. That's my point of view on it.I bought this 3 Doors Down dvd because they are a great sounding band with many hits. The best Live concert CD EVER!!!!!!!!!
This DVD really rocks. I love the selections of listening from the crowd or listening as if you are on the stage with the band. The songs are great the sound is great. IF you have a stereo or surround sound system hooked up to your TV use this DVD to test it out. This is a must have for any 3-doors down fan. I was very skeptical about the products quality because of the cheap price,... but i was so glad i purchased it its worth whatever you pay for it and then some. Bring the band into your living room and enjoy the show i know i did!!!!!!!! ENJOY!!!This DVD really rocks.
