    Danes vs. Anglos, Christians vs. Norse Gods, as Alfred the Great begins to unify England.

    TV movie version of the classic Bernard Cornwall novel series. Deviated from the book as is necessary for the movie's constraints, but true to the overall concept. English actors are phenomenal. Story of the unification of England begun by Alfred the Great as told by warrior Uttrd, an Anglo raised by the Danes. Lots of action, but very intelligent.

    Two Thumbs Up!

    Watching The Last Kingdom was captivating. I could hardly wait to see what Uhtred would do next; so I binge-watched much of the five season series. Now I can hardly wait to watch the movie! Buying the video was well worth the money since I wanted to see it all. I started recording the series’ reruns but I just could not wait!

    This is my second purchase of the DVD set, because the first set's film quality deteriorated, especially Season 5, which is important for the film's continuity. It was disappointing to watch 4 2/3 of the movie, then not be able to successfully view the last two episodes. I decided to rebuy the entire series, than just the last 5th season. The Last Kingdom is one of my favorite movie series. Thank you.

    Great series in compact DVD case.

    This is a great introduction to how England was united. All five series is on 18 discs in a compact case. Can't stop watching it.
