Of course he has a kid brother (Michael Rosenbaum) who idealizes him in all the wrong ways; when he winds up in big trouble, only Johnny can bail him out by going back to the life he left behind. Christopher Walken shows up and steals the show as a strange lawyer who bankrolls Johnny against Joe in the big game climax. Rick Schroder plays the pro Johnny must beat to save the day; Rod Steiger is the hall's grizzled proprietor.POOLHALL JUNKIES is a lot of fun. Callahan's infectious love of the game shines through in every spectacular shot and Walken is at his bizzaro best.     Overall good condition/value but with a few caveats. Seller didn't know how to send extra images and there was a bit of damage that was cut off from the listed images on 2 separate books. Also wish there was a little more care on packing for a $100 and $40 paperback book but thankfully they seemed alright despite only being sent with packing paper to prevent sliding. Packing tape was coming off the box, causing the box to be open a bit. Overall okay though and completed my collection. Thanks!

    I’m not hustling you when I tell you this movie is good

    This movie is awesome, why it didn’t gain more attraction in the theater will baffle me. The characters played their role to the point. It actually feel that you’re in the pool hall with them. And the colorful language is so suspenseful. It blows my mind. Definitely couldn’t get away of making this type of movie today. So if you’re on the touchy side, probably want to stay clear of this movie.

    Pool hall junkies, hustler classic

    No academy awards here, but very entertaining. Great cast, with Christopher Walken, Chaz Palmentari. If you're a pool player, this movie is an instant classic, and a must for your collection. It has some great hustles, some laughs, and a decent story line.

    Not my type of movie, but

    Bought it as a gift and they loved it. He's a big fan of the actors and the movie itself. Personally, I didnt see the appeal. Its just a movie about some hustlers playing pool.

    Classic Quentin Tarantino, so you need to be okay with his type of violence. Christopher Walken is as good as always.
