THQ continues its exclusive relationship with the WWE in this installment of the best-selling SmackDown! vs. Raw franchise. For its second appearance on PSP, the series features an updated roster of Raw and SmackDown! wrestlers, a cast of WWE legends, and signature moves for each star. Dynamic crowds make their presence known throughout each match with cheers and jeers, and they will even supply wrestlers with weapons outside the ring. A revamped control scheme simplifies the action by letting players perform various situation-specific grappling moves. Each arena features interactive hot spots, from turnbuckles to ropes to guard rails, allowing players to slam heads, rub faces, and perform other "friendly" maneuvers.<br><br>Players can lead their favorite star through multiple branching storylines over a full season, or take on a Vince McMahon-type role in the general manager mode. The latter has you hiring writers, choosing from multiple plot threads, managing a salary cap, and setting up matches for weekly television broadcasts. Schedules, e-mail, rosters, reports, and budgets are all accessed from the GM desk inside a 3D locker room, where you'll try to turn a profit and deliver big ratings to increase the popularity of your grappling group. More than 60 male and female wrestlers are available to play as or against, including such past and present stars as John Cena, Rey Mysterio, Trish Stratus, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Hulk Hogan, Chris Benoit, Big Show, and Torrie Wilson. Ad-hoc wireless support is also included for four-player matches and custom tournaments.

    Game isn't pretty but it is fun

    I loved this game! The graphics aren't the best when it comes to your created wrestler or the crowd which is paper thin but there's plenty of stuff to do like take your created wrestler through a year of wrestling and live up all the drama of the WWE lifestyle. Not only that but you can completely customize your character. Every move is what you pick and you can even select a type of wrestler. Whether you just pound your opponent into the ground as a "Powerhouse" or "Brawler" or you like to go airborne as a "High-Flyer." There are also tons of unlockables like secret characters, extra moves, entrances and stat upgrades for your superstar. However, there are several drawbacks to this game. The load times are frustratingly long and once you play through one year of 24/7 (Career) mode, you ...

    OK but kinda sucks.

    Excellent my A$$. Sure the graphics are great, except for the audience which is like paper. Game play is ok when 1 on 1 but when it more the character does not turn the other way when you other opponent is on the floor. Another bad thing in the gameplay is the season mode you choose a character and just wrestle in a story mode, sure it sounds like fun until I picked Bautista and somehow trish won the WWE "mans" title from you, oh and you can do the "bautista bomb" on the big show and also throw him out over the top rope with a strong grapple move. Overall game is ok but too many imposible things happen, LOL really think about it throwing a 500 pound man over the top rope with one move.

    WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2007

    My grandson is in heaven he plays he game all the time. He has the 2008, 2009 and 2010.I looked everywhere to find 2007 game could not find it at any Wal-Mart or K-Mart or game shop. We will be looking at other games and toys that have to do with WWE because that is his favorite thing right now. This has been the fastest way to go, and it was so easy. If I had known how easy it was going to be he would have had it sooner. I love shopping on EBay. ACorbin

    this game is slamin'

    i remember when the wwe/wwf gameds realy sucked. not this one. this byfar is one of the must have psp games out there. it goes up there with the socom games, the gta series, and metal gear. thats right a wrestling game that delivers on the fun, and keeps it fresh with great story lines, and an incredibly detailed create a wrestler feature. a real must have for the psp.
