  • A discovery depicted in a modern way.

Interesting history of the discovery of the Altamira caves in Spain. The caves per-date the famous Lascaux ones and the artistic depictions show that humans have been around longer than 19thcentury scientists had thought and were more talented. This discovery was very controversial and caused much animosity between the teachings of Christianity and Science. It plays out the problems this caused in the family and the community as well as in the scientific community at the time. Antonio Banderas does a good job portraying the father of the girl who discovered this wonder.
