So just a little update here. I decided to see how well the seat post operated. All of the saddle was not in the ideal position for me the post functioned really well. It was quite easy to reach the lever and drop the post before I descended, I did this while on the move. And then when I needed to do the climb the post extended properly. Again the lever was not a problem to reach while pedaling. The post seemed sturdy enough. There was a little tiny bit of side to side.
