It was the perfect title for the film
It is a biopic and I am a biopic fan. I was especialy interested in watching the special features part of the dvd in I was able see the real Ruth Etting perform in a short feature

Love Me Or Leave Me is a must have for any collector of classic movies!
All time classic starring the greats Doris Day and James Cagney. It’s quite a departure from her usual comedic roles as it’s the story of Ruth Etting a singer that led a turbulent life. Doris did an amazing job in portraying Ruth Etting’s ups and downs while rising to stardom and in a relationship with her very controlling agent/gangster/boyfriend played by Cagney. This movie is my favorite Doris Day movie. I’ve seen it many times but never owned the DVD. I can now say that this classic movie is part of my collection of Doris Day movies.
