Very different and very, very good
Vantage Point is the story of the assassination of the US President whilst visiting leaders in Spain. The unique aspect of this movie is that essentially it all evolves around the 30sec scene of the shooting. Then the story is rewound and we see it several times from different people's perspectives. This ingenious and quite fascinating idea makes for incredible suspense and action as we work out the mystery behind the events by following each of the characters who were there at the time. By following the unique and individual accounts of several witnesses at the scene of the crime we gradually discover the enormous scale and planning behind the assassination. This movie is excellently directed. Some may be frustrated by the constant reversal back to the same scene, but essentially this is ... Vantage Point is the story of the assassination of the US President whilst visiting leaders in Spain. Excellent action throughout with stunning car chases and plot, high levels of drama, a superb cast and a truly memorable experience. Highly recommended to everyone.
