Additional Information
A TOWN CALLED EUREKA combines the strangeness of THE X-FILES with the diverse characters of NORTHERN EXPOSURE to create an innovative sci-fi comedy drama. A car accident leads U.S. Marshal Jack Carter (Colin Ferguson) to the small town of Eureka. The town is the brainchild of Albert Einstein and President Truman, and has become a haven for the smartest people in the country. Though Eureka appears to be like any other small city in Northwest America, its denizens make sure their home is never normal as they create the innovations that power the rest of the globe. As Eureka is kept a secret from the outside world, Allison Blake (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) acts a bridge between the town and the Pentagon. She and Carter bump heads, but their rivalry is driven by a heated chemistry that gives the show some zing. This release includes the first series in its entirety.

  • Great Scifi TV show

I'm a fan of Scifi shows, and I find this one very good one. Mixing scifi with of humor and personal stories. DVD d'une très bonne série qui mélange avec brio science fiction avec comédie et la vie des personnages.

  • Comically Eerie

A town where the weird is normal and all the population of Eureka know it, from 'Death Rays' popping out of the ground to an invincible scientist who was afraid of bacteria and germs. Everyone is a genius in one way or another and the seemingly strange is the normal for those in Eureka. Overall it is slightly eerie but absolutely funny. Once I watched one episode it seemed to leek into another and I could'nt put it down. It is well written, directed and acted. The story was not what I initially imagined but if you like a twist of sci-fi absorbed by stepford wives, people are far too nice in this, and a little comedy mixed into the beaker you get Eureka. Thoroughly enjoyed it and I am willing to buy the rest of the series to keep the mystery alive on what is 'a town called Eureka'.

  • Surprisingly great!!

I bought this out of curiosity and have ended up pleasantly surprised. Its about a USA marshal, Jack Carter who crashes his car along with his daughter Zoe. It turns out they have ended up in a town called Eureka where all the most genius scientists live. After a series of events they end up living there. If you like the weird and wonderfull with some comedy thrown in this is for you. the first couple episodes start off quite slow but it gets funnier as the season goes on.

  • Good series, Great back story. Fantastic potential!!

Good series with a unique story. Marshal Jack Carter and his estranged daughter get stranded in a mysterious small town in the middle of nowhere called Eureka. It is after things start to go missing, including the rear of a motor home and the sheriff's leg that things start to get interesting. For Eureka was the brain child of the great scientist Einstien and the then president, as a place where the greatest scientists could work on the most strange, chaotic, even dangerous experiments. I bought this product as I had heard good reports from family and friends, I didn't honestly dislike anything about this series. However saying that, some of the episodes at times miss the mark to the previous ones.
