An excellent film with a good cast of well established actors. The story is compelling from start to finish. It is one of those films you can watch time and time again. George Peppard is amazing as always and Sophia Loren despite a small role in the film adds a powerful female presence. A film worth adding to a dvd collection.

This film is underrated- it was two years after "The Great Escape" and made at about the time of "633 Squadron" bothe very good. This seemed to pass by. Then I caught the end of it on terrestrial tv and just had to have it for my collection and am not disappointed. B T W when oy originally came out the critics said that Sophia Loren should not have been lead- why not? Her husband was Carlo Ponti and he produced the film. Although based on true events it was made as an action film. I looked to see who played Winston Churchill as he was actually good. Also nice to see an old favourite Jeremy Kemp get a more stabancial role. George Peppard also was very good in his role and seeing Tom Courtney and Anthony Quayle a bonus. All in all a good film.

There isn't a lot of war films that feature the V2 rocket. This film tells of the detection and destruction of the rockets.
