A brilliant tool, saves a lot of time trouble shooting & fault finding. Highly recommended for home use & anyone working in the electrical or engineering trade. Very simple & safe to use with the well fluke brand on the testers body. A very good price, the cheapest b fa I have see around & ready to use straight out of the package. I do personally highly rate this tester giving it 10/10 Airash

Having used these pens my whole electrical life and having lost them over the years. I reluctantly bought this as it has now doubled since covid… It is not as good as the old ones, leading me to believe they may be fakes. I’ve had this a year. The LED light has been blinking for six months which leaves it difficult to look at or read something you are looking at with it. The on/off button doesn’t work all the time and you have to hold it in to get it to work. It’s still accurate enough with picking up the voltages in conductors.Having used these pens my whole electrical life and having lost them over the years. Works but could be better
First the important bit - it shows red when very close to a live wire - so it works OK. It is a shame that it does not beep as well. I think the cheaper Fluke model does beep as well. The feature of it showing blue when it is up to about 15 inches away from a power source is unreliable - on numerous occasions it showed either faint blue or bright blue when it was nowhere near a mains source. As an indicator that there IS voltage it's okay
Not so much a flashlight as the battery lasts a shift at best, more an indication that the voltage detector SHOULD be working. As a non contact detector it gives you a positive sign for voltage but don't bet your life on it that the voltage is gone/safe .
