      Threading die

      These are new sharp dies. To cut the threads on straight you need to back up the die so it is perfectly aligned. Use motor oil as a lub. Turn the die on with a wrench. Don't back up the die untill the full thread length has been cut. to help prevent torn out threads. Threading back and forth as you go will tear out threads when the chips jam the cut threads.
