For this reason, and the low price, there is debate online as to whether they are counterfeits. However, I believe they are genuine. Using a magnifying glass, I compared a KMC X11 EPT chain which came in a sealed box from an established supplier with the two I purchased from Sport & Leisure and found them to be almost identical across 8 areas of comparison
