      A real "hands on" hookup.

      This is a nice, heavy duty, vinyl covered cable, just what I was looking for. However, it seems to me that the hooks that are on it operate backwards! The latch has to be pulled AWAY from the hook to attach it to the collar of the dog. Most latches that I've seen, spring in TOWARD the hook to connect to the collar. Therefore, you can hook it up with just one hand while hanging onto the dog with the other. With these hooks, you need two hands to spread it open while I guess trying to hold onto your dog between your legs! So, I'm off to the local hardware store to get a couple of cable clamps and a spring hook that can be attached with one hand... as this one should have been. But, even having to spend more money to make it right, it's still a good value as I wouldn't have been able to buy ...

      This is made of really good material, only thing my dog couldn't tear up. Buy the thickest cable you can, its worth the extra $3 or $4.
