    Be aware

    While fishing Halibut. I paused to pee while taking care of business at hand I snagged bottom,. Not being able to grab my rod in time I lost a rod and reel. Check your drag and be aware. Note that this was on the portside and that my drag was set to function for large fish and would have functioned in a solid rod holder. Please not that I still use this rod holder all the way around on my boat, when needed.

    Great rod holder

    These are now my favorite rod holder. Rods stay locked in until you pull the rod up and out. Super fast release. I highly recommend these for anyone wanting new rod holders for salmon, steelhead, trout and Kokanee.

    Good item, but large

    This is a good quality rod holder for large rods, and large boats however, I did return it as it was bigger than I thought it would be. I decided to go with a smaller model.
