    this product compared to Antex irons by same company

    I used to use the Antex irons by the same company but they became too expensive, This simpler design is similar to other Chinese irons. But I would have like alternative tips or the default tip to be chisel shaped, rather than pointed which it is now. It is not suitable for pcb soldering,as the solder builds up on the tip, making blobs. The iron is not compatible with Antex tips size, so my old tips are not reusable, as they slip over the top rather being screwed in.

    Heats at quickly and is light and very easy to use. The stand that came with it keeps the iron safely until next use.

    I have also use the iron to weld a damaged hard plastic vegetable box.

    Well capable of fast heat transfer..
