Fitting error caused the need to buy this unit. Due to its design this replacement was fitted in less than 1 minute! The fitting fault caused by a plumber, not doing his job right was that the flushing handle was not tightened sufficently to the toilet tank. This caused the unit to rotate enought to damage the operating cable, preventing the return of the handle after flushing. Result is a constant flow of water down the toilet! When fitting the new one I took care to tighten the handle fixing as much as was resonable and also used high adhesive silver tape to keep the flush handle fitting nut in place. If the handle is found not to return to its correct start position,it should be immediately checked and tightened in the correct position to prevent this occurance. The push button option does not suffer from this . The faulty unit I dismantled and was able to restore the kinked cable to working order, this I only did after fitting the new one as the lady who used it was dependant on that toilet. Whilst it was faulty ,with the top of the toilet removed, it was possible to push the black overflow tube down to restore normal function, hence it worked well unit the new unit arrived. This was soley a fitting error ,the product is spot on with a 10 year guarantee, nothing the manufacturer can do about bad work by a Trades person , who took an extorionate amount of money for a job done wrong!Read full review

The 'short flush' button on my loo broke recently and I discovered that the maker had gone out of business since I installed it. I did find someone offering a replacement button for £38 but this was a silly price. After a bit of Googling I found this valve at a cracking price of £12 with 'promotional postage'. It was delivered by Parcelfoce AM the day after ordering which was an unexpected bonus. The valve is sturdily made and was easy to install - I am a DIYer - not a professional plumber. I had it installed in about 30 minutes and since then my water consumption has also reduced - so another win. I hope it will be long lasting but if I need another in 5 years I will have no hesitation in buying one.

Just fitted this to replace an old "conventional" syphon flush. Easy to fit and adjust the flush volumes an overflow height. Working well so far. It's an old w.c. and cistern that uses a handle flush. I therefore used the handle function. The two issues encountered were - 1. the flush handle is quite close to the side of the cistern front and the internal push on just fitted but it was necessary to use a screwdriver blade to depress the release, very close and touching the side of the cistern. 2. the square rubber insert for the flush handle was too big to fit into the hole in the cistern front. It was necessary to cut off this and use the remainder as a rubber washer. Yes, there is an alternative push button but I wanted to use the lever flush!

Very well designed product, easy to fit and simple to use, don't forget to buy a new donut washer for between the cistern and pan, it avoids leaks and having to take the whole thing apart again !

Fitting was easy product works as it should, had to adapt lever grommet to fit hole in cistern as there was no way push button would fit. Fitted to Saniflo Sanichasse.
