As an individual with a degree in music and a violin player myself, I decided to buy the Nashville Fiddles Play Their 100 Best Collection-Various Artists (CD 2006). And believe me, it exceeded my expectations far and above of what I expected the cds to be. The music was of top quality, both in sound and the quality of the music recorded, with no distortions noted. The type of music in the collection ran from the Civil War oldies, to old time Gospel, Bluegrass, Patriotic music, waltzes, rags, the old time two-steps, in essence, it was a little of everything. Further, it also had various artists which overall contributed to the betterment of the collection. And further, made the collection more interesting as a whole, since each artist had his or her own style of performing their own ... And that is what made the collection unique in its own way. And that reminded me of musicians of the past which had to embellish their own tunes in order to make them sound better--ah!! the good old days. In essence, this collection deserves an A+++, An is Highly Recommended for purchase to add to one's cd collection.

Nashville Fiddles Play their 100 Best 4 CD set
This 4 CD set is great value. I really enjoy the old time fiddle style that they play on these CDs, there is some excellent mandolin, banjo and guitar breaks on this set. I found that I was soon reaching for first one and then another of my instruments to join in and my wife likes to put the CDs on just for easy listening music. I would recommend this set of CDs to anyone.

This has got to be one of the best fiddle collections i have ever purchased, it has fast, slow, and all types of tunes on it and i really enjoy playing along with this one and it has 100 tunes so i have a lot of songs to play along with, this is by far the best old time fiddle tune collection i have seen yet i hope there will be more like it in the future

Another fine music product of this great collection !
First, I have to say I am an instrumental music lover though I also love great voices. This four CDs package is just in the same line as others CDs of the same music line (say banjo, dobro). As the others I bought and listened to before, the tunes are easy listening and absolutely not boring on the long run. I am exited to the idea to listen to the harmonica CD of the same line I should receive soon !First, I have to say I am an instrumental music lover though I also love great voices.
