Used them mostly on pine wood projects. They are very good and gets to depth quickly. Best and neatest holes made if I pre drill with very small bit so that the middle spoke is locked in and guiding the bit. For most wood projects these are great, and good quality for the price. I would highly recommend them.

Bought these bits not expecting them to be great. The wee slider on the box which closes the box ,broke off, I was using the 22mm bit which was sharpish but then I needed to use the 25mm bit which was blunt. No sharp edge at all. So they got shelved in the garage. Not a great product but I’m sure it depends on what you want to use them for.

My old spade drills wore a bit rusty having been in the garage drawer for years, new drills bright & sharp. Arrived on time & used the same day, very pleased.

Upon opening the package I inspected the wood drills and found nearly all did not have a cutting edge and the tips were bent on 3 of the 7 drills. Silverline are normally a top quality tool maker who supply lots of mechanics and engineers all over the world which is why I was very disappointed with these drills, I had no choice but to send them back. Shame.

These are so blunt that the only explanation is that no attempt was made to sharpen them in the factory... perhaps that machine broke and they never bothered to replace it... The first time I used one it started to burn the wood from friction but did not cut it... was slightly better in reverse! I've sharpened them myself and got reasonable results but the metal doesn't seem all that hard.
