Lacking set up instructions
Can take some time to set them up had to ring up Hive 8 times before I finally got the valves to work correctly. It doesn't come with instructions so you have to rely on the app to guild you through and even then it doesn't tell you how to calibrate the valves so would not work correctly. But once you finally get them working their definitely worth having and will save you money over time. My only grip is the valves take about 30 - 45mins to warm up after the boiler is turned on in my view they should work like all the rest of radiators with manual valves. Money and time saving. Great peace of kit
Hive is a wonderful tool, your on you way home from work it's cold wet you want to walk into a warm comfortable house so pull out your phone choose the temperature and thats it your heating kicks in and like. Magic you get home to a toasty home, or your in work or on holiday you've left the children at home if like mine they have some problem with turning off the heating when they leave the house we'll you also got that covered, open the app and turn it up or down whatever you desire, and finally your on holiday you've set up your hive lock sensor on the doors and windows and the last thing just incase motion detection, so if any door or window is opened or any movement is detected you'll get a instant response on your mobile phone telling you what sensor went off or when motion ... Magic you get home to a toasty home, or your in work or on holiday you've left the children at home if like mine they have some problem with turning off the heating when they leave the house we'll you also got that covered, open the app and turn it up or down whatever you desire, and finally your on holiday you've set up your hive lock sensor on the doors and windows and the last thing just incase motion detection, so if any door or window is opened or any movement is detected you'll get a instant response on your mobile phone telling you what sensor went off or when motion was detailed and what sensors have picked it up, we are waiting for the BG severance camera to be brought out but to date sensors will tell you where and when, giving you real time messages so you can ring neighbours or even police, the heating can be used with any other company not just British gas, and on many other boilers not just gas, so check out British gas web site for the information then head back to eBay and buy the hive, I paid half the amount of what BG was asking for and had it fitted by a local electrician as you don't need to touch any gas parts he was able to get the job done in under ten minutes, 1 cable for the receiver that connects to either the boiler or heating switch that contour boiler, then you plug the hub v2 into your router, sign up to the account and then download the application to your phone tablet or pc, and yes if you have amazon echo you can control the hive with your voice , it's all very high tech and makes your home smart home and as British gas bring out more items you'll just need to add them via your phone tablet or pc to the hub, I the settings you'll see manage devices and all is done via that, so at present you can control the heating system, you can have peace of mind with the security features, and you now have light bulbs band plugs that you can control via the app, so maybe turn lamps on and off or even lights via the bulbs yet another security feature, or allows you to turn on the lights for when you get home the plug well anything you can plug into it you can turn on and off, and yes I've heard they are bringing out security cameras and smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detection devices and many other devices that will make your life easier and safer, so this is a fantastic product that I'd highly recommend to anyone, the reason I have it is I'm disabled and it's a massive help with the heating and the door sensors, I'm certainly looking for auto the motion detection cameras that's going to be another major help to me and anyone with mobility problems. So 5 stars from me*****

Very good price and quality build.
I'm really happy with my Hive hub. This seller was really quick about delivering the product. Hive has really changed my home. I really got it for when I move to a small appartment but have done most of the house. My kitchen lights now come on and off when needed without asking google assistant 25 different things.

The hub when it’s eventually set up works okay but the instructions are terrible I had to go onto u tube for help, the hive help call centre were absolutely useless. I eventually paired all my system together but I would recommend anyone to research the procedures and steps on u tube Hive and British Gas are useless
