About this product

Product Information

In Carnage Heart players are tasked with building and programming an army of bipedal robots called Overkill Engines, or OKEs for short, for the World Federation that is at war with the corporate conglomerate Drakken. Equipment and parts can be purchased, researched, and upgraded through negotiations with companies. Once the pieces are acquired the design process has users selecting from one of four body types and one of three designs available for each body type. Engines, CPUs, fuel tanks, armor, paint schemes, and equipment can be customized before moving onto to the programming stage.

To program an OKE players select action commands, such as movement and weapons firing, that are placed on the CPU board that acts like a flow chart. Following production the OKEs are deployed onto a moon where they may patrol, defend, or capture select locations. In combat OKEs follow the users programming as players have no direct control during battle. A versus mode is available as well, where two players can load their respective armies from separate memory cards and watch the robots battle with no user input.

Aside from the game's instruction manual, a guidebook and separate disc with video tutorials are also included.

  • AMAZING!

This is fun game. If you have a creative mind, a high level of tolerance to frustration and you love robots beating the crap out of each other, this is the game for you. You also might want to have several hours to devote to designing your mechs. The best part about this game is that after you're done designing your robots (AND programming them), this is a turn-based strategy battle game. You design them, buy them, pay for research and development, then you take them to war! What more could you want?

game plays and is one of my all time faves but is missing the mission/instruction disk.wich will make it hard to explain the game to anyone else for a challenge/match.game is a tru mind bender where you program a mech to fight and then have to let it go and watch it win or lose on its own against cgi or other players mechs.not a button pounding game but a thinking planning one.one of the few games that require forthought.
