When I ordered the Element I was unaware which wattage to purchase, The previouse one did not specify what size it was, so I went for the 500 watt because it fitted easily in the Radiator. When I Received the replacement Element I was surprised that it arrived in two parts, the thermostat and controller and a separate element. Why is the element not available separately? I would have thought that the former part is probably the more expensive to produce and could have been reused.
